Yoga Stretch: Beginners & all levels  60 minutes
By popular demand Wednesday morning class will be yoga stretch. You can expect a gentle standing warm up and then move down on your mat for deep stretching and twists.  This class will move at a slower/gentle pace using blocks, straps, bolsters and the wall to help achieve proper body alignment, balance, strength and flexibility.  You will find it to be a relaxing change of pace from our regular Vinyasa style classes.  This class is perfect for beginners and anyone coming back to their practice after an injury or having been away from their practice for an extended period of time.

Eclectic Yoga: Beginners & all levels 60 minutes  
Never boring, always interesting….are you open to adding depth and playfulness to your yoga practice?  This class will be composed of elements drawn from various styles of yoga.  Keeping to an inclusive style/theme each class, instruction will be different every week. We’ll explore a range of yoga techniques to increase awareness of breath and how our muscles and joints are functioning on and off the mat.  Classes with a yin theme will help you locate that quiet feeling deep inside as you melt into a supportive bolster and learn to relax. Balance classes will focus on standing postures and core strength.   You will flow through a sequence of postures such as the classic sun salutation in Vinyasa.  Join us to find your bliss in expecting the unexpected!  Start your yoga journey on the right path and make it a life long achievement.

Yin Yoga - Saturday:  Beginners & all levels 90 minute class
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time—for beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more.

Hot Yoga:  October - April:   Intermediate class level  60 minutes

This class is an adaptation of hot yoga for the winter months.  The room will be warmed up to 85* and a flow "Vinyasa" class will be instructed.  You will need a hand towel and possibly a yoga mat towel; you may sweat!

Meditation:  Included in EVERY class for 8-10 minutes
Meditation is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth.  People who meditate regularly have been shown to feel less anxiety and depression. They also report that they experience more enjoyment and appreciation of life and that their relationships with others are improved. Meditation produces a state of deep relaxation and a sense of balance or equanimity

Class Descriptions

Vinyasa: All levels:  60 minutes
This class is a great place to start for those who have never taken yoga before. It is also a wonderful class for anyone interested in working deeper on the fundamentals  of their practice. Yoga is about execution of each pose to his/her own capability and comfort. You will learn the name for each asana/ pose, be taught proper alignment,
 balance and how to modify each pose if necessary to make it comfortable and safe.  Breathing techniques will be explained as you learn to "flow" the postures through the vinyasa class.  

Gentle Yoga: Beginners & all levels  60 minutes
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 11 am.... Thursday 6 pm

This class is for beginners, senior adults and to anyone who may need extra attention to be shown how to modify  postures for their own personal/physical needs. It will move at a slower/gentle pace using blocks, straps and the wall to help achieve proper body alignment, balance, strength and flexibility. Try this class before moving on to the other classes if you have any concerns.
