Christina
began Ballroom Dancing at 19 years old as a student at an Arthur Murray
Dance Studio. Falling in love with dance lead her to go
through their
teacher training program and she became the youngest teacher on staff.
Two years later she went to work for the Le Dance Studio where she
trained with the owner, Chuck Bannister and former International Latin
Champion, Sam Sadano. At Le Dance, Christina partnered with Greg
Johnson and began competing professionally. One year later, Christina
and Greg were hired by the owners of the local Fred Astaire Dance Studio
and began competing throughout the
United States
and
Canada
in the American Style Rhythm and American Smooth Ballroom divisions for
over six years. At age 28 Christina retired from professional
competition but has continued to teach independently for the past 22
years. During her professional career, Christina met and worked with
Juliet Prowse, Rita Moreno and Bob Hope. Now she resides in Fayetteville,
Georgia with her husband Rob, son Cole and two dogs, Bennie and
Sophia Loren. Christina still loves Ballroom Dancing and enjoys teaching
students of all ages and at all levels.
